On Saturday September 24, TruGreen will be onsite to aerate and seed our lawns. Here are the details:
- Core aeration involves pulling small plugs of soil out of the lawn areas in order to allow air to access the soil, and also allow water and fertilizer to permeate into the root zone. The plugs of soil will be scattered on the surface of the lawn and should be left where they lay, as they top dress the turf and provide a medium for seed to germinate.
- Overseeding of the lawn areas will also be performed to hopefully improve the thickness/lushness of the grass.
- This work does not involve the use of any pesticides so there is no issue for people or pets to be on the lawn afterwards, other than possibly tracking soil/seed into the house.
